Writing Prompt 4/30/09

You are having an open house and you need to maintain a list of 50 guests. IF you needed to keep track of the number of people attending, their addressess and phone numbers, their relation to you, and whether or not you sent them an invitation, which type of meat they preferred, the dates that they responded, and your total costs of expenses, which software application( i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) would be most helpful to you and why? Be sure to discuss the features of the application you selected.

  1. I think that Microsoft Excel would be most helpful to keep track of all of this information. On Excel you would be able to total and list all of the expenses with ease.

  3. I think that Microsoft Word Excel would be the best and the most helpful for me. Because it would help me organize my work. It would also help me set my columns and row in order.

  5. Microsoft Excel could be a big help with the attendences of the guest and how many. Microsoft Powerpoint also could be a big help with the invitation for the can know the date & time. Also Excel would be albe to tell you the total expenses with no probably.

  7. It will have to be Excel. For your able to see how much money you spent, how many people are coming/did you give them invitations. What kinds of snacks you need or will you have enough. Excel can hold tons of information on it and can be organized in that fact.

  8. In my opinion I think that you should use microsoft Excel because you can make lists of things that could make you work faster and it has bars to make signs and tables which is great for party planning

    The software that I would use would be Excel. It has all the requirements needed and its basically already set up. All you have to do is know how to use it.

  10. Microsoft Word Excel would be most helpful to people. By typing in their addressess and phone numbers. You can put their in columns and rows. When you done doing that you also print it out, save it, or email it to them. It has some other useful stuff you can for it too.

  12. Microsoft Excel could be a big help in keeping tads on what is happening. I think it is very helpful because the names, dates, foods,ect... would be easier to set up. When I use it every thing seems so much easier like beening in lines or roles that I can keep up with.

    The software I would use is Microsoft Excel. It can be used faster then any other Mircrosoft. We also been working on Excel all week.

  15. Well I'd say Microscoft Word and Excel. Microscoft Word to write and print the invitations and Microscoft Excel to keep track of the number of guess, thier addressess, their numbers, and your money.

  18. I would have to use microsoft excel. You can format cells, add and keep track of names and pay, just like the grade book. All the microsoft programs will work, but excel is the most effective.
