Advisory Writing Prompt - 9/18/09

DEAR stands for Drop Everything And Read. Do you think its important to read books other than your textbooks? Tell why or why not? Do you have a book to read? List 3 suggestions you can give to your classmates to help them get a book for DEAR time.

    Yes I believe its important to read other books besides your textbook. I beleive that because you can learn alot from reading other books. No, I don't have a book top read but I can go to the library and read a book.
    1. They can get a book that they are interested in
    2. You can read a book or get kicked out of class
    3. Tell them they can learn alot of new things just from reading.

    yes i think that you should read books instead of text books because books have more information

    I think it s inportant because if you read a diffent than your text book it also help you get your reading scores better and also you learn how to read faster and a better reader.

    yes I think it is important to read books besides textbooks. Because it give you something intersting to read like coixio book for expamle. yes and no I have a book but I don't have it with me. I do but I'm not telling.

    you cloud you go to the libray and rent a book. you clould borrow one from your friend or the store.

    Yes I think it is important to read an book even if it's not your textbook. Becuase you are challenging yourself more and more. Also you are getting your reading ability up more. If you read more you learn more. 3 suggestions I can give my fellow classmates to help them get a book for DEAR time is you if you read a book not just your textbook you are showing more smartness that you have. Another one is if you are reading more you are thinking more and when you thinking more your learning more. The last suggestion is you can read a book anytime instead of being in those games how about picking up a book and reading it not just looking at it.
